TckTckTck Campaign

The World Mayors Council is the only local governments' organization to partner with TckTckTck.

TckTckTck is an unprecedented global alliance, representing hundreds of millions of people from all walks of life, who are united by a desire to see a strong global deal on climate change. The alliance is made up of leading environment, development, and faith-based NGO's, youth groups, trade unions and individuals, and is calling for a fair, ambitious and binding climate change agreement.

Together with ICLEI-Local Governments for Sustainability, the World Mayors Council is a partner of the campaign 'Making Cities Resilient' that encourage local authorities evaluate the vulnerabilities within their constituency and take the necessary actions to build more resilient communities.

The World Mayors Council on Climate Change pledged support to the campaign during the Mayors Adaptation Forum 2010 with many of its members officially getting aboard. Click here to watch Council members talking about their involvement in the campaign.

'Making Cities Resilient' is a two-year campaing launched by the United Nations International Strategy for Disaster Reduction. Read more about the campaign.
